As usual, Adobe makes things sooooo much more complicated than it needs to be, especially for inexperienced users. This time, it’s in the Firefly product. The simplest things, like having an “upload” option in an obvious place, and making the default option to put the photo in the users *folder*. Also, I’d like to use photos FROM my folder rather than uploading each time, and easily copy photos from my folder to projects. You need to have user testing done for all levels (from newbie to expert) before you release a product. You’re not going to get many newbies getting to be experts if you don’t support a path for that.

Thank you for responding. I really appreciate it.

First, just finding the upload option is a too difficult. I had to Google how to find it! This function, and *all the most basic options* in any digital platform, should be in a highly  visible menu in a common location, in every screen where it might be used. If a particular command, like upload,  does something more specific, like "upload and edit", then "upload and edit" should (imo) be the text of the command.

There are other things that are simply not "beginner  intuitive" and make the app hard to use. For instance, having to upload an image that's already in my folder in the app, rather than just pulling a copy from my folder.

I truly understand there will always be functions that a newbie will not get right away. But that newbie shouldn't have to hunt to find what is standard in content creation (text or media) software: upload, download, copy, paste, save, edit, cancel, undo, and redo.

    HI kimber_DbyD!

Thanks for writing in. Just wanted to confirm, are you looking for an upload option that goes directly to your folder? What happens when you click on the upload option?

We also appreciate your point about improving the experience for users of all skill levels through broader user testing and onboarding. Feedback like yours helps us identify where we can simplify workflows and make the product more accessible for everyone.
