Problem with the AI Assistant Firefly

The confusion here is understandable. There are actually two separate credit systems at play.

During the beta period, the Firefly AI Assistant uses a dedicated daily credit allowance that is separate from your regular generative credits. This is why the assistant says it does not use up your premium credits — that is technically correct, as it draws from its own daily allowance rather than your main credit balance. When the assistant tells you that you are out of credits for the day and that they reset at midnight, it is referring to this separate daily AI Assistant allowance being exhausted, not your premium credits.

Regarding your second question — there is currently no separate visible counter in the Firefly UI for the AI Assistant daily allowance. You can only see your premium generative credits. The daily limit is not displayed, which is what makes the “out of credits” message confusing. The only option is to wait until midnight for the daily allowance to reset.
