Question

Slow down. We can't wait to generate more content for you. You can try again in a few hours

Dear Adobe Firefly Support Team,

My name is Vladimir, and I am a professional photographer and retoucher.

I work with the latest version of Adobe Photoshop, actively using its built-in Firefly features for background replacement, Generative Fill and Expand, with the 2026 model. These are standard Adobe Firefly features within Photoshop; I am not using any third-party generative AI models.

Today, my workflow was abruptly blocked by the following message:

"Slow down. We can't wait to generate more content for you. You can try again in a few hours."

My typical pace is around 2 to 3 generations per 10 minutes, which represents a natural, manual retouching cycle per image.

Could you please clarify what triggered this rate limit? As an active subscriber and professional contributor, having to pause my work for several hours during normal business hours severely disrupts my daily operations.

How can I avoid these blocks moving forward? Is there a way to lift or adjust this limit for professional production workflows?

Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your guidance.

Best regards,

Vladimir

I also encountered the same problem today. I used the standard Firefly Fill & Expand (2026 model) twice before getting the message. How much slower do one needs to go? I am on the paid plan with unlimited credits so this makes no sense. It is very inconvenient, especially since it is my job as a professional photographer and retoucher.

Same happened today.  I pay for those credits.  I am not using them in an abusive way; just normal editing.  This is NOT RIGHT for a paid service.

ONE is too many??? Something is obviously broken. Are they my credits if I can’t use them?

Same thing happened to me on my work account. This is very upsetting, and the tone of the message is rather rude. No “Sorry”, no “We apologize”? What is this patronizing “Slow Down” like we are some toddlers?

I encountered the same for the first time today. I am on the unlimited all apps plan using just the standard generative fill. But i was like, uh...no...and I just kept going and it has been working. I will update if it tries to block my workflow again. I also do retouching work.

My only other advice is make sure you are using just the standard AI model in the Generative fill box. Because I know one of them is “advanced” -  and they charge it against your credits.

Hey @insta_photos Thank you for sharing the screenshot and for providing an insight into your workflow. This helps.
After getting a new plan, log out of the creative cloud app to reset the functions of Firefly. Log out then back in to the Creative Cloud App, after you get a new subscription or change subscription.

You may need to do a hard reset: shift and reload/ reset this has helped as well.

“After getting a new plan” What? What did he say that prompted you to talk about a new plan? Are you suggesting he should get a 2nd plan to avoid this weird limit?
