subject image is altered a bit too much

I want to use my image as the main subject and, by specifying the subject, setting, lighting, and style, create the desired result, while keeping the subject of my original image clearly recognizable, without altering its salient features.
I've only been able to do this on Google AI Studio (Nano Banana), but not within Firefly, where, even using Nano Banana, the reference image is altered a bit too much.
Do you have any suggestions?
