Submitted images partly disappearing

Hi community,

 

during the last 4-5 weeks I noticed that some of my submitted (not yet accepted) images have disappeared.

All of my accepted community gallery images are still there.

But there were at least 20-25 not yet accepted images that are no longer available.

For example - yesterday I submitted a new image that isn't there anymore.

Now there are just 3 pics showing up ... ?

 

Even if my suggested images are not accepted for the gallery - I often use them to edit or work further with the old settings.

A feature I would not like to do without it.

 

Is there a new limitation for images ?

 

How do I get access to older submissions again ?

    Thank you for your message. I am sorry you are having this problem.

     

    Adobe has not stated any expectations on storage of images not accepted into the gallery (or even ones accepted). The only documented purpose of submitting images to the gallery is for Adobe to potentially select them for display in the gallery for other users. You are effectively using them as a way to store your images across devices. While that might be more convenient than the documented ways to save images, it is not a published feature of using the gallery and it comes with the risk they might disappear, as it appears that have in your case. In the past, we have had a few reports of gallery images disappearing.

     

    I recommend that you use one of the published methods to permanently store images. For a complete description of existing features to save prompts and images, please see these documents:

      Thanks a lot for your quick response, droopy !

       

      Unfortunately the "Favourites" feature is session-based.

      Using it with another device or after deleting the cache  - it is empty.

       

      I had submitted images for almost a year now. Never had problems like this.

      And isn't it strange that some (older) pictures are still available and newer ones are not ?

       

      Referring to the second link in your post the only other way to save all I need (prompt, styles, references) is "Copy link to Image".

      An unpleasant way to work with it in the long term *sigh* ...

      Apparently there is no solution to restore the disappeared pictures.

      Hi Wolfgang,

       

      I cannot explain what happened with these images and it does seem odd. But even though it can be more convenient than other available methods, it is risky to rely upon it for storage.
