नन्वेवं स्वर्गमुद्दिश्य युद्धकरणे तस्य नित्यत्वव्याघातः राज्यमुद्दिश्य युद्धकरणे त्वर्थशास्त्रत्वाद्धर्मशास्त्रापेक्षया दौर्बल्यं स्यात् ततश्च काम्यस्याकरणे कुतः पापं दृष्टार्थस्य गुरुब्राह्मणादिवधस्य कुतो धर्मत्वं तथाचअथ चेत् इति श्लोकार्थो व्याहत इति चेत्तत्राह समताकरणं रागद्वेषराहित्यं सुखे तत्कारणे लाभे तत्कारणे जये च रागमकृत्वा एवं दुःखेतद्धेतावलाभे तद्धेतावपजये च द्वेषमकृत्वा ततो युद्धाय युज्यस्व संनद्धो भव। एवं सुखकामनां दुःखनिवृत्तिकामनां वा विहाय स्वधर्मबुद्ध्या युध्यमानो गुरुब्राह्मणादिवधनिमित्तं नित्याकर्माकरणनिमित्तं च पापं न प्राप्स्यसि। यस्तु फलकामनया करोति सगुरुब्राह्मणादिवधनिमित्तं पापं प्राप्नोति। यो वा न करोति स नित्यकर्माकरणनिमित्तम्। अतः फलकामनामन्तरेणकुर्वन्नुभयविधमपि पापं न प्राप्नोतीति प्रागेव व्याख्यातोऽभिप्रायः।हतो वा प्राप्स्यसि स्वर्गं जित्वा वा भोक्ष्यसे महीम् इतित्वानुषङ्गिफलकथनमिति न दोषः। तथाचापस्तम्बः स्मरतितद्याथाम्रे फलार्थं निमिते छायागन्धावनूत्पद्येते एवं धर्मंचर्यमाणमर्था अनूत्पद्यन्ते नो चेदनूत्पद्यन्ते न धर्महानिर्भवति इति। अतो युद्धशास्त्रस्यार्थशास्त्रत्वाभावात्पापमेवाश्रयेदस्मान् इत्यादि निराकृतं भवति।
