Question

using firefly for some image generation, it's using my credits but timing out telling me "something went wrong" giving me no output...but definitely spending my credits. FRUSTRATING.

    Hi Inland Tarp,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing the screenshot.

I want to clarify how credits are handled in Adobe Firefly

    • Credits are deducted immediately when you click “Generate.”

    • If the generation fails and you see an error, the credits are automatically refunded AFTER the error occurs. This applies to all errors, there are no exceptions.

    • If you notice that credits were not returned after an error, this usually indicates that a generation did complete successfully. In that case, you can check under Your Stuff > Generation History to see if the file was stored there.

Here’s a useful article explaining the most common reasons that trigger the error you’ve been seeing.

Very important note: Based on your prompt, it looks like you are interacting with the Text to Image tool as if it were a conversational AI. Please note that each generation is completely independent and does not carry over context from previous prompts. Additionally, negative prompting is not supported here. If you are looking for a feature that remembers your chat history to edit and tweak files, I highly recommend using the AI assistant.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hey @Inland Tarp

Not making changes to the image
Help us, help you, please provide the following:

    • The Full Prompt: The exact text you entered into the prompt box.
    • Settings and Model: The specific model used and any other settings (such as aspect ratio, content type, or style strength).
    • Reference Images: A copy of any reference images or keyframes used to guide the generation in a zip file (to preserve the image’s details).
    • Visual Examples: Please upload a copy of the "bad" generation so we can see exactly what the output looks like and tell us what is wrong if it is not obvious.
