I did it with Voe 2 so that fewer credits would be deducted, but a single video deducted 500 credits. I would appreciate it if this could be rectified.

Thanks for reaching out. Veo 2 uses 100 credits per second for video generation. Here is the link for different models and the credits they utilize. 
https://helpx.adobe.com/firefly/web/get-started/learn-the-basics/non-adobe-models-in-adobe-products.html.

Moreover, the credits appear before the user generates the image, in addition to the "generate" button.
