What do you have to do to get Firefly to follow the prompt????

What a waste of credits. It totslly ignored my very detailed instructions and the reference photo I uploaded. This AI Video generator needs lots of work! So Fustrated!!!

@Rocman keep the prompts relatively simple. Have the keywords at the beginning and use simple language.

The real answer - it will ignore your instructions and explicitly go against your directions. Yes it still takes up credits. No they aren’t going to fix it.

Seems you are quiet frustrated and for good reason.

Could you please reply with the following information:
An example of the image & prompt that you are using would help.

• A screen shot of the whole browser or application window (including your avatar in the upper right corner) with the error or problem showing or when the problem is happening (not just the error message itself).

• What model were you using (such as Firefly Image 3, Firefly Image 4, Firefly Image 4 Ultra, Imagen 3, etc.)?

• A copy of the keyframe(s) or reference images (if any) you were using.

This helps us help you. Sometimes there might be a trigger word in the prompt.

Second, you get a bad seed. This does happen. Knowing when you have a bad seed.

Make sure to delete the files that are not working to prevent having a bad seed.

Final bit, sometimes I simply shut everything down and come back after and start fresh. I turn off my computer and open fresh tab.

Nope I will keep my info to myself thanks. I was using Firefly 5 for images and for video. I have given reference images, and simple prompts (like colors….). I’ve been trying this on and off for months now with simple simple prompts and Adobe is worse than the average free app on your phone despite the premium pricing.

Is there a reason that Firefly directly ignores instructions and does the opposite about half the time?

The exact prompt you used.
The reference image.
The model you've used.
What kind of output you were expecting versus what you actually got.

Prompt: Please reference the photo I uploaded? Use the same exact Brush the "Artist" in the photo is using. Also, use the exact same paint board with the can of paint sitting on it with the brand and paint name visible. He is using the color of the house which is Benjamin Moore Hawthorne Yellow. The Artist is dressed just as in the photo. He holds an artist's brush in his hand, applying paint strokes to the exterior wall of a house. The brush moves with precision and care. The setting is a well-lit outdoor area with a clear blue sky and gentle sunlight. The background shows the house's architectural details and a few trees in the distance. The camera remains steady, focusing on the painter's hands and the brush as he works, capturing the meticulous nature of his technique. I was expecting the Painter to use the “Artist” Paint Brush as in the reference image and to paint the House, not the window trim.

I attempted to generate a similar output, but using this exact image complicates the process. Since the brush in the reference photo is already touching the window frame, the generation consistently interprets that as the starting point, regardless of how detailed the prompt is.

If you have another image where the brush is placed directly on the wall instead of the window trim, please share it so we can try again.

Also, please note that when generations don’t fully follow your instructions, it doesn’t mean your prompt or image is incorrect. Sometimes the AI simply struggles to execute the request as intended. In those cases, the product team benefits greatly from your feedback, selecting the thumbs‑down icon on the generated image and submitting your comments helps us improve the system.
