What happened to the original Firefly from a year ago?

Thank you for your message. I am sorry you are having this problem. 

While it has gotten better, Firefly (and most other AI image generators) is generally not good at putting exact text from a prompt into an image. Sometimes it is perfect, but usually, it does not get it right.  Please see this article on why generating text in AI image generators is hard:

So, what to do?

There are basically two options. The first is Text Effects in Adobe express. That allows you to use a prompt to create an effect applied to specific text you provide.

I was able to create the word "Driftwood" constructed with driftwood:

The second way is to create the letters into an image (just to get the shape and form of the letters) and use that image as a structure reference. Structure reference (I just chose a bold font; can select whatever font you want):
