Hey @homeschool238

@droopydog500 has pretty much covered the importance of word choice when using Firefly.

Consider using:
Police officer crying
" " shouting
Essentially you will need to find alternative words to generate an image that would be suitable for your requirements.

You may want to use a protrait style as well.

Hello @homeschool238,

Thank you for your message. I am sorry you are having this problem.

It is not a bug. It is Firefly following the terms and conditions of use. Those are detailed in this document:  Adobe Generative AI User Guidelines

In this case, it is the word "pain" that is causing the problem in the specific prompt you referenced. However, if you rewrite it, "police officer" is likely to not work if associated with pain or depicted in other ways that are not the normal course of business for police officers.

That's ridiculous. If I have a role as a lead officer who lost his daughter, pain will be there. And, no matter what I put in different words, it doesn't show. This Firefly is absolutely NOT useful. It's trying to perceive something that is not. So not acceptable for this type of restriction on wording. Almost as bad as FB's jailtime for saying something it doesn't like. I'll just stick to 3 other AI tools that allow "normal, standard" words. Thanks.

I am very sorry for your loss. I understand you disagree with Adobe's approach.

I do not work for Adobe, and can only explain this based on my observations of AI at Adobe and the rest of the industry. Adobe's approach to AI image generation is to create a tool that businesses have confidence in having their creative teams use for producing content used by the business.  Businesses said they were concerned about intellectual property issues and the suitability of use of images for business purposes.  Many businesses using Firefly say they would not use other tools because those tools do not have sufficient guardrails.

Unfortunately, that means the use of Firefly for creating content outside of business use might come into conflict with the terms businesses said they needed to be comfortable using Firefly. That is not a reflection on the worthiness of your creativity nor a political statement.

As other companies have different approaches, it is possible others will allow you to better express your creativity.

Again, I am sorry for your loss and hope your creativity is an outlet that helps your healing.

My best,
