Why do the people have to "talk"?!

Every time I prompted a generative video, I tried a few variations....I just wanted two women waving their hands. That's it. Standing there and just smiling while waving their hands. I tried being that descriptive in the prompt and every.single.time. It had their mouths moving....saying nothing, just moving their mouths up and down. I tried several ways to omit that "feature" and none of them worked. Is anyone else reporting that issue?

I prompted “no dialogue” and “the characters do not speak.” The result was the old man calling the young woman in the video “Dad.” Another attempt had the characters chatting in gibberish. So frustrating. This is a clear failure, yet each attempt uses credits.

Hi @DNMM_48640,

Welcome to the Adobe Firefly Community! Thanks for sharing your experience. We're sorry to hear you're running into this issue.

To better understand what's happening, could you let us know which Firefly model you used and whether this occurs consistently across multiple generations? If possible, please also share the exact prompt (or a sample prompt) and a screen recording or screenshots of the generated results.

From your description, it sounds like the generated video is not following the prompt instructions. Despite explicitly requesting "no dialogue" and that the characters "do not speak," the output is still generating speech and dialogue.

Tarun

Hey @30598772

Welcome to the community!
The prompt I used was:

two woman waving to one another, minimal facial movement

Minimal Facial movement is a positive reinforcement of what you want.

Cheers
