Will we ever be able to copy and paste into Firefly?

I do a lot of local edits to AI images. Anywhere from 6 to 16 or more. Saving the selection before importing it into Firefly to make the edit in a partner model creates a lot of extra files and requires more steps than simply copying and pasting a selection into an AI program outside of Firefly. Will we ever be able to copy and paste into Firefly for small, localized edits rather than saving the file and dragging and dropping it?

I don’t save the selections. I copy them in Photoshop, then I use Gemini or ChatGPT (outside of Firefly), and paste the selections into their prompt windows. It would nice to do the same in Firefly and the partner models there. Again, I make anywhere from half a dozen to 16+ or more local edits ion individual hands, feet, eyes, clothes, hair and various random objects after upscaling the original to give the AI models more pixels to work with. Saving them to the desktop or wherever results in clutter and they all get deleted eventually. So it just means extra steps. For really simple edits, I just use Firefly Image 5 or Gemini 3 from within Photoshop, but this often requires additional manual edits. Thank you!
