Font family added from Adobe Fonts: shows in Photoshop; how to add to Word?

Hi, I added a font family from the Adobe Fonts website. I have an ongoing Photoshop subscription. I don't know if I have Creative Cloud or not, lol. This is all confusing to me. The added font family now appears in Photoshop. How would I get it to show up in Microsoft Word, or can I? Do the Photoshop and Word accounts have to be linked somehow? I used the same email for both. Thanks so much!

Have you installed the fonts using the Creative Cloud desktop app? Adding the fonts at the Adobe Fonts web site will only make them visible to Adobe apps. The fonts have to be installed using the CC desktop app to be visible to other apps on the computer.

Would the Creative Cloud be an additional fee? (Also would it or take up more memory or something?) Currently I just use a Photoshop subscription.

Technically any Adobe app subscription is part of Creative Cloud, there are simply different plan levels, be it individual apps, clusters of applications like the Photography Plan or the All Apps plan.

The Creative Cloud desktop app is simply a control panel for your CC account. It will show subscription plan details and let you manage your account (like changing a login password or billing details). The CC Desktop app has different panels to show things like art files in cloud storage, available updates for apps, tutorials, etc. The CC Desktop app has a section for Adobe Fonts. That's where fonts added at the Adobe Fonts web site can be installed so other apps on the computer can access them.
