Hi, all - here's a place we can connect about the topics we all wanted to learn at the webinar on 7/28 and maybe can help each other with!

    Good Day Everyone,

Perhaps we should put together our own monthly or bi-monthly webinar on Adobe fixes?  Anyway, I thought it would be good to connect for help and resources.  Currently my team is working on getting our custom completion certificate uploaded which is a confusing process.  Seems like I need an HTML Developer to convert the certificate so Adobe Support can upload.  Any suggestions please let me know.

    Hi Melvin,

I actually hold a bi-monthly webinar for all the training teams using the ALM at my company. It's a great way to demonstrate functionality and new tools, provide updates. I think we can at least communicate in this space with what we find and help each other.

That would be awesome!  Im not sure if you would open that to external L&D teams but any info would be helpful.

For anyone interested in how to set up a certificate.

You need to be very conscious of which catalog you use in your course creation. This is especially true if you want to load courses to certifications or learning paths, but you do not want the learners to be able to take the course as a course but only as a certification or as part of a learning path. Please read the below section to understand the user interface that controls this area.
    Process: Using a Special Catalog

Important: A special catalog should be used for any courses that are intended to be hidden or embedded within certifications and learning paths.

    • Your special catalog has special settings: it is visible to all learners. However, it is disabled in the administrative side of the LMS in order to provide the following actions:
      1. Facilitate intentional course loading to catalogs per Learning areas.
      2. Facilitate administrator-only enrollment.
      3. Provide a working space where authors can load course content that is intended for Certification-level enrollment, but not individual course enrollment.
    • Using your special catalog allows you as an author or administrator to successfully load a course to the LMS and find it in the available course listings while building a Certificate or Learning Path shell. Catalogs are specific in their content framework. For example:
      1. Catalog1 course content cannot be loaded to a Catalog2 Learning Path or Certification.
      2. But the special catalog path and settings are broad in their definition, providing authors and admins a clean alternative, while hiding any courses.
    • NOTE: All courses have to be listed under the self-enrollment setting under the second page of the course build tool in order to be “located” by the Certification or Learning Path building tool.
      1. The manager approved enrollment or manager nominated enrollment settings cannot be used nor can they be an alternative to the Special catalog option.
      2. Adobe LMS engineers have blocked any managerial enrollment pathway settings for loading courses to Learning Paths or Certifications.
      3. All courses added to Learning Paths or Certifications must be listed as “self-enroll.”

I have to say that, after using other LMS solutions, I appreciate the ease of building in Adobe, the ability to group and even delete content, and the automatic user enrollment. I wish there was a way to send email messages on demand to users from within the system, not triggered by an event - has anyone figured a good way to do that? E.g., announcements and news types of mesages, not email that tell users they are enrolled or have completed a course?

Thanks Kathleen - I don't think any of these options actually send an email to the users, do they? Users need to be in the system to see them all, correct? I am intrested in sending an email to users from within the system.

@12585324  Can you share info on how you did the work around for certifications and learnings?

Adding some of the fixes posted in the chat:

Nicole: I set up a "disabled" catalog that is shared to "All Learners" to load courses meant for certifications. The certification is then displayed to the learners in a separate catalog. Works pretty well, and the learners aren't confused by having two opportunities - 1. to take a course without credit, and 2. certification.

Maggie Smith: Matthew, we changed our SSO link prior to the name change as per the documentation, and that worked for a seamless transition. It didn't affect our log in redirect.

Leah for the 250X250 do the badges come out with the same size as the original badges?

Hello.  Yes they will.  Just export it as a PNG file.

Has anyone else been exploring the new release notes to evaluate updates? Any problems you've encountered so far?

    Adobe Engagement from Sayan Ghatak
This was in one of the emails for this webinar.
There is also a checklist if you have SSO and to make sure new URL is whitelisted:
