Automated Unenrollments?

Happy Tuesday!

Posing a question or discussion topic to get some traction if it is not a feature already.

Basically, is there a way to automate unenrollments in Prime?

The scenario we are experiencing is new federal admin regulations is requiring us here in the US to force different trainings to Contractors vs regular employees. We have automation in place to assign these different trainings, but the issue comes about when we have an employee move from contractor to employee. They retain the contractor training AND get the employee training.

These updates are automatic, based on a user sync with our HRIS. So, the issue comes up during audits and employee tickets to remove their non-applicable contractor training.

Is there a way to automate the unenrollment of trainings? I do not see this feature. Ideally it should be an option under Learning Plans at least. The way I see it could be a reverse of a user group enrollment:

  • User leaves "x" user group > unenroll from "x" courses/programs/certiciations/etc.

How is everyone else handling similar scenarios?

Hi @loganm87922310,

Thank you for contacting Adobe Captivate Prime Team.

Prime's design based on a simple truth: "Once we learn something we can not un-learn it".

Similarly the courses that someone has "completed", we can not un-enroll the user from that course.

They will have access to that course to "Revisit" the content as long as the course exists as per the current design.

We can only unenroll a user if he/she has not "completed" the course.

So in your scenario if someone has completed a course in the past, we can not un-enroll/remove the course from the users' account.

Kindly let me know if any further assistance is required.
Hope to hear from you soon.
