Can I get rid of the play/pause button

I have multiple assessments that all have submit buttons with each question. To move on to the next question, a user must answer and click submit.

However, using the play pause button at the bottom of the player any user is able to just skip by a question without answering.

Is there a way to turn off the button, either temporarily for a question, or for the entire assessment?
