Disable scrubbing in Video Content

How do you disable video scrubbing in Adobe Learning Manager? If I upload the video as a piece of content, users can scrub through the video. If I upload the video in an Adobe Captivate file, there is no way to utilize the native Adobe Captivate playbar to eliminate scrubbing.

This is a MAJOR compliance concern and a feature that should be inherent to Adobe Learning Manager .

    Hello @Emily30405254tfdz ,

I realize this is an old post, but we built a custom media player just for this purpose. It [can] prevent scrubbing of a video (though can support scrubbing backwards / forwards up to viewed area), allows for overlays, supports resume, etc.

You can reach out to support@envolvemedia.com for more information, if you are interested.

    Hi @Emily30405254tfdz ,

Thank you for contacting the Adobe Learning Manager Team.

As per the current design, if you upload a ZIP produced from Adobe Captivate 2019 or earlier versions, the playbar of Captivate is replaced with the plyabar of the Learning Manager Player on the course page.

Yes, I agree there is no direct way to disable the playbar of Captivate projects, and users can skip the contents using it.

Here is workarounds that we can use to overcome this issue:

    1. When you generate a ZIP file from Captivate 2019 or earlier, please delete the "project.txt" from the ZIP before uploading it to Adobe Learning Manager. This will show the Captivate playbar and remove the course playbar at the bottom.
    2. In the latest version of Captivate released in 2023, the issue is already taken care of. So we do not need to do anything. The player of Captivate should directly show in the course as it is.

    I hope this helps.
