Does pre-work HAVE to be completed in order for the feedback to be triggered?

Many of our courses are blended courses, that is, we include short self-paced video courses for the users to view before the virtual classroom sessions that are the core learning modules of the course.

My question is this:
If the user chooses not to complete the pre-work, but they do attend the VC sessions, is the L1 Feedback triggered?  Or is it only triggered if BOTH the pre-work and the VC sessions are complete?

Many thanks

Great question, @Elizabeth5CF1 !

YES! Pre-work is a part of the MUST-DO portion of the course. If pre-work is incomplete, the course will be incomplete. If the course is incomplete, the L1 will not happen.

However, if the self-paced video is added to the "prerequisites" instead, it will NOT be graded, and therefore would be optional for the learner. The prework section is on the overview menu of the course. You can find the prerequisites section on the Settings menu of the course.

Try it! Let me know how it works for you and your learners!
