Give usergroups access to certain content

I have learners in different business units (self-defined field on user account) like sales, marketing, management etc.

Is it possible to publish content that only learners in the different business units can view in the cataloge?

Assume you have user groups like Sales, Engineering and Finance. Create catalogs (say they are Sales Catalog, Engineering Catalog and Finance Catalog) and share them with the intended user groups. Now by default, all learning objects are also present in the "default catalog"; and so you can hide this catalog from all users to ensure that Sales Catalog is accessible only to the users in Sales Group (and so on).
