Problems getting new users logged in

I am new to ACP and have tried to get 3-5 new learners registered an logged in. Challenge to get them registered. Do they really need an ADOBE ID? Regardless, once they register for Adobe ID, we still get these errors messages endlessly. This has to be easier!

No user found for the given adobeId email in this account. Please link your adobeId to your prime account before logging in. accountId= 4136

Hello Richard

Every user would need some sort of username/pwd to get access to Captivate Prime. Adobe ID is a highly secure authentication mechanism. Hence the default way to get access is via Adobe ID.

Once you as an admin, add a user to your Captivate Prime account, that user is sent an invitation "Welcome" email. This has a 2 step self serve process which the user needs to follow to link any Adobe ID with the Captivate Prime account. Once done, the user is free to use that Adobe ID with that account

Hope that helps

By the way, if your Organisation already has an authentication mechanism for eg one that you use in your corporate intranet, then Captivate Prime  offers a Single Sign On integration using SAML 2.0 , so that your users can forego Adobe ID and continue to use the same username/pwd that they are already using. (Integration requires working with Captivate Prime support team.)

Thanks! When can’t I change an external user group from 5 users to 4 users?

Thanks, Rick

External user group is supposed to be a free form way of adding users. ie once you create a group of 5 users ..it gives you a URL that you are supposed to circulate using any email system to upto 5 people.

These 5 people then can add themselves without you doing anything more. Reducing the seat limit therefore has the challenge in case all the 5 people have already signed up..or atleast have received your email ( which is outside Captivate Prime and so cannot be tracked).

If you have more deployment questions i would request you send an email to captivateprimesales@adobe.com and a solutions consultant would be happy to interact with you in more detail
