Question

Publishing non HTML5 to LMS?

Hello Community,

I am working in Captivate 9 and was wondering if there is any way I can publish to a non HTML5 format when publishing to captivate prime?

The reason I ask is because my flv and swf files are not being displayed as interactive on the LMS

(preview non HTML5 works fine, but publishing as HTML5 only displays first frame of animations and thus they become PIC rather than animation)

I am not an animator so please try to refrain from telling me to just create HTML5 animations instead...Having difficulty doing that currently.

Thanks for any tips.

Sincerely,

Sean

    Not making responsive project

Just trying to add some animated objects (SFW) to my training deck.

Watching preview in browser shows everything perfect

Watching preview as HTML5 the animations become images and no longer move.

That is why I was asking if someone knows a way to publish as non html5 so I can upload that to the LMS and have my animated training decks.

Since I am not an animator it is not a viable option for me to just create a different kind of animation without some help.

My knowledge of animating is limited so anything that does not involve me having to teach myself Animate, After Effects or Edge would be a preferred option.

    Hi Sean,

You can publish the project to your computer and choose the output format as SWF . And then manually upload the content to the Prime.

    Thanks

Tried that and  Prime says unsupported format

Tried to make a zip file of the swf to upload same error message

And finally I tried to create a full zip package from all the files that are produced after I publish to computer as SWF but again denied by Prime

I am sure it is me doing something wrong here, I just cannot figure out what I am doing wrong

Please no, as I am asking to publish from inside Captivate9

Captivate Prime just happens to be the LMS I am using, but it could be any LMS.

I want to publish NON HTML5 from inside Captivate 9 to my LMS... the program does not allow me to choose my publishing type.

Output Format is static when trying to publish directly to the LMS

Oops, you are creating a responsive project? Since mobile devices do not support Flash output, you only can publish to HTML5. For video, be sure to import MP4 (normally flv should be converted to MP4 when you publish, but better import MP4 right away). As for animations: sorry, but either you try to replace them by effects, or you'll have to create HTML animations (OAM is supported).

May I move your question to the Prime forum?
