Restart Module Issue?

I have a course in Captivate Prime with two modules. The first module is an "Activity" module that just enables the learner to access a PDF they must read before taking a quiz in the second module. Both of these modules were built in Captivate 9 with the latest update.

If the learner fails the quiz in the second module and they exit the course, and then return and try to retake the second module (the quiz), the module fails to load. All they get is a white page the same size as module. I can't figure out the problem. I have the quiz module set to never send the restore data. That should cause the module to reload fresh each time.

In this case, you can't restart that second module because it just fails to load.

Anyone have any ideas?

I now suspect there is something wrong with how I have authored this quiz. When I build a one module course in Captivate Prime using the same Captivate 9 module, that single module behaves the same way in Prime. Meaning I can launch the module one time but if I exit and return to the module, all I get is that same blank white image.

I've no idea what is wrong with module. Since I am not sending any Resume Data to the LMS, I expect the module to restart as if it were the first time it was accessed. But that isn't the case.

Further to our conversation, the issue seems to be occur if "Submit All" option has been used under Quiz> Preferences> Settings. As suggested, you can uncheck "Submit All" button and then publish your course from Captivate 9 to Captivate Prime directly and you will be able to re-start the module without any problem.

Or

If you want to use Submit All option in your course then you may publish a zip output (SWF) locally to your machine and then upload it manually to Captivate Prime. By doing this way you will be able to re-load the course in Prime with Submit All feature.

Hi Peter,

Can you please let me know the number of attempts you have in Captivate 9 course? If possible can you please paste the screen shot of your Quiz preferences in Captivate 9 (Quiz Preferences>Reporting and Quiz Preferences>Pass or Fail).

Also if you can paste the screenshot of the issue?

Hello,

This is what my quiz preferences look like:

When I return to the course in Captivate Prime and attempt to run the second module (containing the Captivate 9 quiz) all I get is this:

I thought this might be a browser issue but as you can see, we are running IE11. Even if I have something amiss in the quiz settings I would think I'd at least see something other than a blank white image in the player...

Thoughts?
