Sharing Dashboard Successfully

HI all,

I am able to share dashboards it seems. The functionality works, and the recipient I am adding to the Dashboard gets a notification in the LMS.  However, the link they get from the notification takes them to a 'permission denied' page.  In my case, I am sharing a Dashboard about External Users, to an Internal User account.  I am unsure of the issue especially since the LMS allows me to share with that person.

Any advice here?

Thanks,

N

You can edit the permissions of those who should have visibility to your shared catalog.

From the catalog go to the options at the top right and select 'Edit Dashboard'

Then select users and groups with whom you would like to share the dashboard, and Save.

HI Walter, I think this is the issue.  The person I share with is simply an internal user.  I get the option to choose this person, maybe that is a bug.  Should only individuals with Manager roles gain access to Dashboard Reports?

Thanks!

Dashboards are created and shared by Administrators and Custom Roles (with Report privileges).

Shared reports are then visible to from the Managers interface based on who they are shared to (and by those who share them).

Hello,

I am assuming you are mentioning about Administrator sharing a report dashboard with Managers. Once Manager clicks on the in-app notification, although you see some error, does the report load? Generally a manager should be able to see the same report for his reportees only.

Hi Makul,  The persons I am sharing with are not Manager roles, that are internal users of the LMS, and want to see how External User Groups are performing.  Is there a way to make a Custom Role that allows this?  Thanks for your reply.
