Hi,I use tle last premiere pro cc 2018 and media encoder.I updated april 21, 2018 the media encoder and since not responding, not loading the program.I have windows 10.I uninstall and install it but don't work. What happend? What can I do?Thank's, Zsolt

Suddenly presets from previous version in the GOP area of settings will not support high rates. Where we use to have 8 and 128 to produce the best resolution for M and N frames; the new version of ME just hangs about 15 seconds through the render. We can drop the frame setting to 4/128 but that's half of the resolution we need. We have to downgrade to have success at it and keep producing the m2v format we need to deliver.

Hi all,Apologies if this is a repeat, but I have tried searching and can't find anybody with the same issue / not sure of the technical term to search. I am very new to AE and have been working on a project through it. Exported the project quite a few times now and the play back has been fine. However after my last update to it, when exporting some video files are missing and show a colour banding instead. They're not missing in AE and the files have not changed location. So I am not sure what has gone wrong or how to fix it. Any ideas? Damian.

Hello everyone,I'm having trouble with working with proxies in Premiere Pro.I've made a project on my laptop. All files are located on an external harddrive. When I want to open the PP-project on my desktop, I'm getting an error that says AME is not installed. This way I'm unable to use any of the proxies I've made on my laptop. Is there any workaround or solution for this?So far I've tried updating both AME and PP, setting them both back one version, deleting cache. All without result.I've included two screenshots to illustrate what I'm talking about.

Hello , it seem that the latest release of Media Encoder CC 2018 ( v 12.1 build 171) are completely missing the Quicktime XDCAM422  codecs  .Is there a reason for that or it has simply missed?Thank you

A number of people have been experiencing this problem of AME not publishing after a render even if logged in (thru AME and through an opened browser.)This is the error message. Hardware:Ryzen Threadripper 1950X @ 4.0GHzNvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti @ 1757MHz64GB 3733Mhz RAMIf more specs would help with your input let me know and I can give a more thorough accounting.To clarify, when I open media encoder, the "Renderer: _____" dropdown defaults to Mercury GPU Acceleration (CUDA), so it is showing up. I can manually set that to Software Only. But when I go to create a new preset, or edit the *ENCODING* settings of any existing preset, the dropdown menu for "Performance:" is grayed out and inaccessible. I'm not sure if this stops me from actually recruiting the GPU for encoding. Or if it's just grayed out because it's going to use whatever I pick for rendering anyway. That would be kind of a problem if I want to use GPU for rendering and CPU for encoding, which I've heard affects quality for some codecs. Yesterday 17 april 2017, I updated AME. (I'm updating often).But today I've found that it deleted some presets, and I had to reinstall again QUICKTIME because that option disappeared from the FORMAT menu.

Hi,I a newbie and asking a question on behalf of my son.We have an Asus PC, I7-6700,, GTX 950 2GB and when I export the file cpu and gpu are utilised (as seen in the windows task manager).I just purchased an Asus Laptop, i7-770HQ, GTX 1060 3GB, cpu utilised but the gpu is not.The pc will process the video in about 6 minutes, the laptop in about 16 minutes.The project renderer shows CUDA on both.The file is being exported in Format H264 and present is High Quality 1080p HD.I've read that gpu is only used on certain effects, but here I'm encoding both files exactly the same,Surely  the faster processer and gpu should be faster, and why is the Gpu used on the PC and not the laptop ?If I change the format to AVI gpu works on the laptop.Running windows 10 creators update and the latest Nvidia video drivers and the same Adobe CC version on both.TIA

When I add my sequence to the render queue and start it, the file that Media Encoder outputs makes the footage really slow so it doesnt match the voice.It does this to all my videos. Here's an example.Media Encoder Issue - enduraplas I've checked my settings and frame rates and it all looks fine. its supposed to be a 30 fps video. I've tried different export settings and nothing changes.I also uninstalled and reinstalled media encoder and still the problem exists.Any ideas?

I'm trying to export an 8K composition, and when I put it in Adobe Media Encoder, and click the QuickTime option, there is no MPEG-4 wrapper, which is what I've heard is the best way to export.  I could export it uncompressed but the file size would be over 500gb, which would take hours to upload to youtube and would exceed my hdd capacity.I am running Windows 10 by the way, so ProRes is not an option.Do I need to install a codec for exporting 8K?  Maybe I'm going about this all wrong, so help would be appreciated.Thanks,

I'm trying to output some content which has to be 5328 x 912 in H.264 format. Reading up on the specs, this kind of resolution only seems possible at Level 6 or above:H.264/MPEG-4 AVC - Wikipedia But Media Encoder doesn't offer anything above 5.2. Am I doing something wrong here?I'm on Windows using CC2018, Media Encoder 12.1 build 171.

I am having issues while trying to encode .avi files in Media Encoder CC2018.It is a XenDesktop environment and I am not sure if the audio card is the culprit.it is just the avi files that are impacted.encoding .mov or .mp4 files has no problems.why is this happening

I tried to wrap up a project I was working on in AE, and I got this error message.So I looked for any updates, that didn't fix it!I cleared browser cache, history, and restarted ... no luck.So I uninstalled the Creative cloud app, didn't work. Then I took everything off the machine and re-installed everything and still no luck.Now I've been trying to get hold of someone, anyone from Adobe tech support, or even chat with someone who might help, and no luck there either!

In the last week, 2 programs I output via Media Encoder 2018 (latest update) in HEVC have been unable to play on some computers, but do play on others.  First time I have run into this problem - am I missing something?

Media Encoder 2018 (12.0) has been working on rendering a 3:00 video with no effects for 2 hours with no progress. I've tried all I can think of.Media Encoder 12.0.1 will not open at all, so I downgraded to AME 2017 and Premiere Pro 2018 12.1.0 wouldn't even recognize it, so I uninstalled and reinstated AME 2018 12.0, and Premiere sends files to be rendered to it, but when started, Media Encoder just sits there. I'm looking to build an automated render pipeline that will crunch proxies for a large volume of footage at one time. I'd ideally like to run the script on a batch of arbitrary files that could include image sequences, audio, and any video format. The script will create an H264 preview of each clip, as well as extract all available metadata on every file.It's a tall order, and I'm hoping it's possible with ExtendScript and Media Encoder or Premiere. I've dug as much as I can through the Object Model Viewer, but the lack of proper documentation is making this very difficult. I'm hoping to get a discussion going here that might provide help to future Googlers with similar ideas.My workflow will be this:1. Load a file (need a way to "stitch" image sequences and multi-file clips e.g. R3D into a single clip)2. Extract metadata from file and save to external document (ideally including available source camera settings like ISO and Kelvin)3. Set output name and destination for rendered file.4

With the recent change to AE CC 15.1, the Quicktime legacy codecs were removed so we now have to use AME to render from AE.  AME has some issues with putting files in the right location. Normally if we send a comp to AME from AE with the Queue in AME button, it keeps the render presets and location settings. However if I need to render out two versions with different codecs, and I add a second codec to the video, it second version has a different location and creates its own folder. Is there any way to disable that? You may say we could just manually change it, however, we have to render out at least 50 spots a week so that would be time consuming and cut into production time. 

I have a 5 second clip which I am exporting from After Effects into AME, using default source high bitrate settings. After testing many times I realise that AME renders the first second of the sequence blurry (I am not able to show my footage so I have grabbed a stock image off pexels to demonstrate.)Ignore the black bars, they are just because I used snipping tool to grab the screenshot.1st Second of ExportAfter 1st Second of ExportIf it isn't obvious enough, the first image is grainy in the skies while the second is crisp.I've tried with other footage and still images, and even moved the work area in after effects to start from 2 seconds and end at 7, but the 1st second graininess still appears.Is there any workaround I could try to fix the render quality?

I use the search thing in the Start menu to open Adobe Media Encoder, but nothing happens. The splash screen doesn't appear, or anything. I tried exporting my After Effects file to MP4 by adding it to Media Encoder Queue, but nothing appears. I even searched for the application launcher in the Program Files Adobe folder. That didn't work.I tried uninstalling and installing the latest version, which is 12.0. That didn't work.I tried running as administrator. That didn't work.I tried running it in Compatibility Mode for Windows 8 and 7. That didn't work.I tried creating a Presets folder in Documents>Adobe>Adobe Media Encoder>12.0. That didn't work.I'm at the end of my rope here. I'm just trying to export my After Effects composition, but nothing's working. I need to encode (hugely compress about 5,000 video files into something I can edit - I'm making video proxies).How can I apply my custom preset to all files at once? How can I save all output files to new location at once?Also, how can I delete the default output preset on every one, all at once?I thought adobe was user-friendly, this has me thinking!Thanks a bunch!C

Using AME CC 2018 to export a 4k video. Everything look normal and it works all the way through up until the end at which point it has been consistently crashing with around 5 minutes left. Any ideas?
