Accessed photos in scanner in setting up a/c. Can they be deleted without losing them off the phone?

I mistakenly agreed for the app to access the photos from my phone in error.  It is in the process of downloading them on to the app, but I don't want them on my Adobe scanner. 

Can I delete them from the app without losing them off my phone memory? I am not the most technologically minded and don't want to lose them if it could cause that to happen. I had read a lady lost photos in error by deleting them from a scanner app.

Thank you for posting your query here. Please help me with few details to understand your issue better.

  1. Which OS you are using (android or ios)
  2. Make and model of your phone? 

If you delete photos from the application they won't get deleted from your phone.

Try with a test image.

  • Capture an image from your device.
  • Open it in Adobe Scan.
  • Delete it from Adobe Scan.
  • Check if it's deleted from the gallery or not.
  •
