Acrobat Pro messes up scans

My scans look great in the app.  Acrobat Pro re-runs OCR and skews and rotates my scans in way that make them look wavy and crooked.  It's supremely unhelpful.  Is there any way to stop this from happening as I move the scans from the app to Acrobat?
