Adobe scan not working

I have installed Adobe Scan on my Android smartphone but when I open the app I get a 'welcome' screen and nothing else? I cannot access any settings or log-in etc, it is just a static page. I tried uninstalling and reinstall but made no difference. Can someone give me a clue what is going on please!
