Adobe scan to pdf ocr

I've made a PDF of scanned documents using the Adobe scan tool. My problem is that I can not edit the text of the PDF. I have the acrobat DC membership but it seems my app is no better than the free adobe pdf reader. I've deleted and re downloaded the app with no changes. I'm on the road and only have my iPad. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Northup,

 

As you are trying to edit text in the scanned PDF, please confirm if you are using the Adobe Acrobat Reader for mobile application.

If yes, then you will not be able to edit the scanned PDF on the mobile application. You will need Acrobat Pro DC desktop application for that.

You do get an option to edit text PDF in the Adobe Acrobat Reader mobile application. However, it will not be the same as in the desktop application as there are some limitations on the mobile device.
