Adobe Scanner

Hello, 

I used my Adobe Scanner app on my phone yesterday to make a lot of new scans for school. When I opened the app yesterday, everything looked normal and I was able to view all my previous scans. When I opened the scanner app today, everything was gone. I am hoping for some help on how to get back my scans and save me hours from having to redo the work.

I hope you're great and sorry for the issue you're experiencing.

 

As per my understanding, you lost the files from the application and need help in restoring the documents. Please check if you're logging in from the correct profile.

 

However, Adobe Scan saves the documents as PDF in the Adobe Document Cloud. You may check your saved files over here: -  


Note: If you're not uploading the files to Adobe Document Cloud or saving them to any other location, the files will be deleted permanently. 

It isn't possible to retrieve the files once deleted directly from the application.

Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan.

 

We would like to have some more information to dig into the issue:

  1. Have you checked the different accounts you might have used with Scan (Sign in with Adobe versus social sign-in)?
  2. Which platform do you experience the issue with? Scan Android, Scan iOS, DC web? 
  3. Are all the scanned files missing, or only some files? 
  4. When did the issue start, any details about any actions taken then?
  5. Scan app build version, device model, and OS version.

 

Please share the above answers so we can speed up the investigation process.
