Adode Scan DELETED my important document!! How to recover??

Hello,

I have been using Adobe Scan for several years to avoid storing paper, and instead shredding and recycling it. Well, last week I was opening the document containing ALL our family's paid medical bills to add a few more, and after taking several more photos to add, when I tried to save the document, it gave an error popup saying "unable to save file" and then DELETED IT ENTIRELY. It isn't in trash, doesn't show up anywhere else in the Document Cloud or on searches!!

I NEED THAT FILE RESTORED, I NO LONGER HAVE THE PHYSICAL BILLS AND I HAVE TO HAVE IT FOR TAX PURPOSES. IT CONTAINED LITERALLY THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS' WORTH OF INFORMATION!!!

I used Support Chat to help, but they were ABSOLUTELY USELESS. They told me that, literally, there 'aren't people that can help me with that product, I'd have to ask community members'. What kind of BS is that?? I've been using Adobe products for TWNETY-FIVE YEARS, spent THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of dollars with their company, and they can't find someone to help me recover a valuable file from a product with THEIR name on it??

The app had been acting stupid for a couple weeks before this as well... not saving correctly and creating a new file copy instead of replacing current like "File Name.pdf" would become "File Name (1).pdf" and saved as a new copy. 

What a worthless app.
