Can’t open documents without personal account password

Hello, hopefully someone will be able to help. 
I don't have a premium subscription to the scanner, but whenever I scan documents and share it with someone else, they cannot open the files without my Adobe password, my actual account password, not the document password. 
I already looked in all of the settings and on the internet on how to fix this issue, and can't find anything. 
Any thoughts? Thanks

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan.

 

Would you mind sharing a few more pieces of information for further investigation:

1. The app version of Adobe Scan you are using;

2. Do you share a copy of the file or a link to the file?

3. Can you create a copy using the same method you have been doing and share one with me here in your response? This will help me understand the core reason for your issue and assist you accordingly.
