Changes do not save after using CLEANUP feature

Hello, I am facing a problem with the 2 latest versions of Adobe Scan for Android.

The issue is the following...

I scan a document with Adobe Scan. Everything is fine, I crop it, I adjust it and I apply a filter.

Then, I select the "Cleanup" feature in order to erase content from the document I do not want...

After I finish erasing, I tap on the blue tick (✔) button to save what I have erased.

The document inside the Adobe Scan app seems fine and the changes after the erase are there.

And finally, I tap on the blue "Save as PDF" button and the document saves as pdf.

Here is the problem I am facing: After I save the pdf, when I open it even inside the Adobe Scan app and on Acrobat, all the things that I have erased, using the "Cleanup" feature are not erased!!!

And they are still there, on the final pdf. It is like the Cleanup feature did not work at all or did not save anything!!

This issue happens since the two previous versions of Adobe Scan. Today I updated to the latest version but the issue still persists.

I have tried everything, I installed the app again, I cleaned the cache, I tried switching accounts, but nothing!!

Does  anyone else have  the same problem with me??

Could you please tutor me on how to fix it?
