Deleted all Adobe Scan files from my pixel by mistake. How do I recover them? No deleted folder?

I accidentally deleted all my Adobe Scan files from my phone (Pixel 3a). Now, all the files are gone. It seems there is no way to recover these.

Don't you also think it's an incorrect design to be able to delete all files without a warning or a confirmation and then have no way to recover them? Extremely frustrated. What am I going to do now?

These were my scanned copies of receipts for $10K worth of expenses to be submitted for reimbursement. Now, I have to pay these out of pocket. In other words, Adobe Scan cost me $10K + monthly subscription fee.

Next time, I'll take a photo so it's synced with Google Photos and I can't delete them (they go to deleted folder for 30days to be able to recover).

Please escalate this to Scot Belsky. It's more important to not lose files than correcting creases, etc.
