Deleting a scan from Adobe Document Cloud

Hi. This was my first time using Adobe Scan. I scanned a file and shared the link with myself over email. After sharing, I deleted the file from Adobe Scan on my Android. However, I find that the link still works and the file is not deleted. Since the file has sensitive information, how can I delete it permanently from Adobe Document Cloud?

Hi pjwarriors,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you want to delete the scanned document from the cloud, is that correct?

Visit this link in a web browser: https://cloud.acrobat.com/sentfiles , check the box next to the file and select "remove"

Refer to the following help document for more info:

Manage and work with your files stored in Adobe Document Cloud

Thanks,

Download Acrobat mobile app and you will be able to remove the cloud document from the mobile app.

Facing the same issue, and deleted it from the cloud already. But the file is still there at the link shared. How is this issue marked as resolved when it doesn't solve the problem?

Hi

We did try to replicate the behavior on our end, however, it is working fine. Try to delete it from "shared by you" folder as well and refresh after deleting it from the application and document cloud. It will work and give you an error ("This file has been removed or no longer exist. Contact the owner for more information") when you will try again to access using the shared link.

If that doesn't work, To remove the confidential document from Doc Cloud, the doc owner may open the document in Acrobat Reader and then delete the file or unshare it. Deleting a file permanently removes it from Doc Cloud, whereas when you Unshare a file, the recipients can no longer access it. See how to delete or unshare a file.

Let us know how it works at your end. If you have any further queries please feel free to reach us.

Regards

Ria

I am having the same problem. I shared a link to the scanned file. Then I deleted the file which I scanned but everytime I open the shared link, I still see the scanned file there. Can you please give us a final answer to have this issue solved.

Hi There,

This solution doesn't work for me. When I go to shared by others or shared by me or for that matter any link the file is not visible, in fact my usage says 0GB of 2GB, yet when I click the link I can see the document. Please can you tell me how to delete this document. I am quite uncomfortable that any document I scan is available despite all my attempts to remove it from the cloud.

Thanks

I am having the same issue.  The solution above does NOT work - it takes me to the "shared by others" folder in my Adobe documents, and does not show the documents I need to delete.  I'm pissed.  There is sensitive info floating around out there on the web and I can't get it deleted.  Shame on Adobe for making something that SHOULD be easy so difficult.
