Does the text recognition function sends data to Adobe?

I was wondering about privacy. Are my data sent over the internet for character recognition?

Hello,

Sorry for the delay in response.

By "sends data to Adobe" do you mean that when OCR runs on the document, does it send the data on the document to Adobe server?

If yes, would like to inform you that the data is not sent anywhere. It just does the recognition of the text on the document.

The OCR engine uses the selected language to interpret the scanned text and convert it to editable text.

For more details, you may refer to this help document Edit scanned PDFs, turn off automatic OCR, Adobe Acrobat

Hope that answers your query.

Let us know if you still have any questions.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer, but I'm concerned about privacy.

All my scanned documents go to the cloud, so scanning private documents will send my data to the Adobe cloud. Is that correct?

Thank you

Hello,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Yes, when you scan the document from the Adobe Scan application and save it to PDF, it automatically saves the newly created PDF to Adobe Document Cloud location.

However, only you will be able to access those documents online.
