Download from Document Library Changes File Name and Create Date

I started using Adobe Scan on my iPhone in October 2021.  We travel to do family research at various libraries.  It worked great and I would download the documents to my laptop.  I am almost certain that when I downloaded it to my laptop, that the Create Date remained the date it was originally scanned.  I am currently downloading documents that were scanned on June 24, 2022 and they are showing October 16, 2022 as the Create Date when they are downloaded to my laptop.  I did an inspection of the file and it showed created and modified as of today, Oct 16th.  Is there a way to protect the original scan date?

Also, I change the name of the file before I download it.  When I download it to my laptop, there are special characters in between all the words in the file name.  Is there some way to stop this from happening.  As it stands, I have to reopen the document on the Adobe Document Library, copy the file name and then paste that over the file name in my Download folder.

Thanks

John

Hi @defaultmfkpg73m3vj2,

Hope you're doing well. Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan.

The data that you are referring to, if you can open the file on the desktop version of Acrobat, you will be able to see the actual data of creation and modified if you go to the properties of the document.

Also, what I suggest you is add the data and time of creation of the document by going to Preferences-> File Name.

Hope this helps.

SharePoint keeps track of changes and updates of files in your library. You can see the changes that were made (created, edited, deleted) and when (18 hours ago, yesterday, last week). You can view only activity on individual files and documents, or your whole library. Activity is available for the last 60 days.

See the file activity in a document library

  1. Open the document library

  2. Select Open the details pane

  3. Scan the Activity section to view the latest activities for your files

  4. To close the details pane, select Open the details pane

Note: When a file is selected, you may see a preview and file properties in the details pane before the file activity. When more than one file is selected, you can edit the properties of the selected files. When no files are selected, you will see activity on the library.Best rugs
