Dropbox Folder Taxonomy Incorrect

Using Adobe Scan for iOS, I have connected successfully to Dropbox in order to copy scans over from Adobe Cloud. However, the folder taxonomy displayed from Dropbox is incorrect--folders are duplicated or missing altogether, but are 100% correct in the native Dropbox interface. I can copy scans over, but they then need to be moved to the correct location. I deleted the Dropbox connection and recreated it, but no change. Have don't everything except deleting Scan and reinstalling. Any ideas welcome.

@Texas_fortune When you are using your iPhone and DropBox is most defintelt not an iOS server, a big part of me wonders if it's the "hidden files" showing up as duplicates, especially on macOS (where .DS_Store files or resource forks can sometimes appear as separate items in non-native file browsers). Or maybe Adobe Scan might be holding onto a corrupted or outdated internal cache of your Dropbox folder structure. You could do a fresh install that might do the trick. Great points and I think you are correct with regards to the issue originating in MacOS. I ended up duplicating the problem directories on MacOS and deleting the old ones--and the issue was resolved. Appreciate your insights.
