Hi @Jswaim987,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan.

Per the second screenshot, which shows the error in OCR on scans, you will only be able to perform OCR on 25 pages if you have a free account. This number goes up to 100 if you have a paid subscription.

You may refer to the given link for more information: Configure Adobe Scan — Adobe Scan

The other workaround which we can suggest is to turn off OCR. To do this, go to Profile-> Preferences-> disable the option saying "Run Text Recognition".

Let us know if this helps.

Hi. Thank you for your comment . I understand that OCR only works on 25pages on the free account. OCR is the turning a page into text. That's not what I'm doing. I use Adobe to create PDF out of my documents. Not to read the text. I have a file with 190 pages in it at the moment . It was working fine when I add pages or remove pages. But now I have been editing the pages I already have and it's freezing up. And crashing. And I lose all the updates. I'm thankful I haven't lost the whole fine. A few months ago I did lose a file . And Adobe could not help me because I was on the free version.  So it is lost. I pray I don't lose this one. How do I stop it from freezing or crashing. Thanks for your help.
