Would you mind sharing a few pieces of information for further investigation:

1. The application version of Adobe Scan you are using (go to Home-> Profile-> About Adobe Scan);

2. The iOS version you are on;

3. A screen shot of the error you see when trying to open the file;

4. Are you able to open the file on the web portal: https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/documents in the Adobe Scan folder?
