Hi @Magnus LS,

As mentioned earlier, Adobe Scan is a cloud-based service, and the application cannot function without uploading the files to the cloud for processing.

If you wish to remove the files from the cloud, you can use the option "Save a copy" and then remove the cloud saved file to keep a local copy of the file on your device.

How can you possibly call this the correct answer when it didn't even attempt to answer the question. The question had nothing to do with what options do I have for saving the files.  The question was whether I could turn off automatic upload.  I don't see any yes or no in the answer.  The answer just deflects to other options that apparently don't have anything to do with uploading. I feel like Adobe is trying to mislead Us by avoiding the answer to the question and calling this the correct answer.

Files are getting deleted with a message saying I should wait until they are finished with uploading. Is there a work around this problem?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the late response. If you are still experiencing this issue, please visit Adobe cloud storage and go to Documents > Scans and check the cloud storage available to you, as shown in the screeshot below:

Let us know if you have sufficient storage and still experiencing the issue.

WTF, I just realized that all the invoices I've been scanning for over a year were uploaded to Adobe Scan's servers!! Personal invoices and reimbursement invoices for my business. This is very serious because there’s no option to disable it, so I thought it wouldn't go to the cloud by default! It's incredible that this isn't an option, especially since document scanning, OCR, and PDF generation don't need the internet at all! I'm very disappointed with Adobe. Today is the day I will no longer use these tools.

I completely agree.  How dare Adobe upload our documents without our permission or given us the ability to disable that

Is there a problem with your server lately?
My scans are not getting uploaded, I get a small status message saying uploading but that doesn't happen even after 30 mins. Unable to open and modify the file unless the uploading is complete. This is frustrating. Is this issue only with the free subscription or with the paid app too?
I don't mind paying if that solves my problem.
I'm facing this issue with both my iphones and my Android phone too.

Thanks for harvesting my ID scans that I make through your app, Adobe! I don't understand why I am even using your apps at this point

Adobe.  I don't want any of my personal documents uploaded to your servers.  I want them only saved to my device.  What advantage is there to you to upload my documents to your server?  I've noticed that my scan still work properly even when I'm online so there's no advantage to me to go up to your server. This is ridiculous and should be illegal

Any updates on this?
I had to look this up as I think the automatic upload and no way to stop it is outrageous. Please escalate this and make it into a ticket to change cause this is borderline scary.

That answer is BS.  The application works fine when I don't have any connectivity.  There's nothing about the application that requires it to be uploaded. At least nothing that's beneficial to me

Hello,

I have complained multiple times in Google Play reviews that this app automatically uploads my scans to the cloud and doesn't give the option to disable it. Can you imagine your ID, passport, government papers, or other important documents leaving your device without asking you for permission? Yes yes, we read your 12000 pages terms and conditions and somewhere it must have said that it was going to send them to the NSA or something. Also, whoever replies to the reviews just lies over and over again saying that you can cancel the auto upload when in fact there is no such option in the settings (in case you reply here, what the setting does is ALSO save them locally, but files keep being saved to the cloud. I checked in the cloud and they were still being uploaded). Anyways, you guys deserve to be sued or something, stop using people's ignorance to steal our private documents.

If nothing works for you to disable the auto upload, you can try disabling internet access to the app and you should be good.

Can't you see how ridiculous your solution is? Turning airplane mode on to scan documents, force stopping the app when connecting to the Internet... it's CRAZY! Adobe is the worst TBH.

Hi @Hellol78,

Hope you are doing well. Thank you for reaching out!

Assuming from the tags used, you are using an Android device. You can log in to:https://acrobat.adobec.com/ and upload or move your files to a different location or to the Adobe Scan folder for them to appear.

Hope this helps

Why do you want to control your customers data.  I want to save files on my PC. I don't want to email someone a link to a file I want to send the file itself

Hi @sabbisetty29763636xuvb,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan.

Can you confirm if you have enough storage space on your account? You can check that by logging in to: https://assets.adobe.com/files/ and checking the bottom left corner for the storage.

Also, while that happens, you can click on share and then save the file to your internal storage or any other online storage and access the file.

Hope the workaround helps.

Look forward to hearing from you.
