    Hi there,

Hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

A “file corrupted/damaged” error after moving to a new phone (like from Nova 9 to Pura 70) is often related to how the files were transferred or synced, rather than the files actually being damaged.

    • Are these files stored in Adobe Document Cloud, or locally on your old device?

    • How did you transfer them to your new phone (cloud sync, phone clone, manual copy, etc.)?

    • Are all files affected, or only specific ones?

Please try the steps below and see if that works:

    • Try opening the same files on your old phone, desktop, or via Acrobat web (https://adobe.ly/4sR7whn).

    • If they open there, the files are fine, and the issue is likely device/app-related.

    • If the files are in cloud storage, delete the local copies and download them again. This helps fix incomplete or corrupted downloads.

    • If you use phone clone or file transfer apps, sometimes files don’t transfer completely. Try re-uploading from the old device and then accessing them fresh on the new one.

    • Make sure your Acrobat/Scan app is updated to the latest version available.

    • You can also try reinstalling the app to clear any cache issues.

    • Create or download a new PDF and check if it opens fine. If new files work, the issue is likely with the transferred files.

If files don’t open anywhere: That could mean the files actually got corrupted during transfer. In that case, restoring from the original source or backup would be the best option.
