Question

Thank you Amal!
As I wrote, there are no shared files in my case, yet the error still occurs. What to do?

Hi @Philipp37363577i9l8

We are sirry to hear that, are you trying to download the files via web or via the Acrobat Reader App? If its via Acrobat Reader app, please try updating the app to the latest version  26.001.21691 Planned update, Jun 25, 2026  Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once and see if that helps.

No, via the website, not the app. Is there anything I can do? I’ve already tried different browsers, but that hasn’t helped. As I said, everything was working fine about a week ago, but now it’s suddenly not working anymore. Has there been an update or something like that?

Hi @Philipp37363577i9l8

Hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. This is actually a known behavior in the application.

Here's why you're seeing that error:
If you select multiple files and even just one of them is a shared file, the download option disappears entirely for the whole selection. This applies to files you've shared with others and files others have shared with you, either one will trigger the block. please check the correct answer marked in the similar discussion here https://adobe.ly/4wduJfk

Here's how to fix it, step by step:

  1. Go to https://adobe.ly/4wgmCPk and sign in with your Adobe ID.

  2. In the left sidebar, click "Shared by You" remove sharing on any files you want to download.

  3. Then click "Shared by Others" note which files appear there and exclude them from your selection.

  4. Now go back to your Scans folder and select only files that are not shared, keep batches to around 20 files at a time.

  5. Click the Download button in the top-right corner, your files will download as a ZIP.

Using Acrobat Pro on a desktop? That's your best option:
Open Acrobat > Home >  Files > Your Documents > Adobe Scan folder > select your files > Download. This tends to be more stable and reliable than the browser-based web app.

Please note: Adobe Scan Cloud doesn't currently support a bulk download feature natively, either in the app or the web interface. So the workaround above is the best available path right now.

Let us know if the error persists after trying these steps.
