idCard wit iPhone 14 Pro

Question

I try to scan in my ID card with my iPhone 14 Pro and the quality is so bad that it's literally impossible to read anything. Tried the idCard setting but the app simply doesn't zoom, looks like the advanced camera features of iPhone 14 Pro are not used (try the same with the Notes app from iOS and the image is crystal clear.

Any hints?
