To help properly, a few details would be useful: what device are you trying to open this file on (phone, tablet, computer), and with which app (Adobe Scan, Acrobat, or something else)? What exactly happens when you try to open it? Does an error message appear, does the screen stay blank, or does nothing happen at all? And was this file scanned with Adobe Scan, or did it come from elsewhere (downloaded, received by email, etc.)?

Here are a few general things worth trying:

• Check whether an app update is available on the App Store or Play Store

• Restart the app, then restart the device

• Try opening the file with a different app (for example, from the Files app on iPhone/iPad, or your file manager on Android), to see whether the problem is with the file itself or with the app

Let us know exactly what you see on screen; that will help pin down the cause.
