When in the middle of a scanning process, the app is closed due to any unforeseen circumstances, you should see an option to resume your scan.
This is the moment till Adobe Scan holds an image of your file. If you decline this option, the image of the file is deleted and will need to be re-scanned.
The only option I can think of here is to log in to https://adobe.ly/3wUxuti and check if the file is available.
If not, I fear the file needs to be created again.
