Manual Zoom? LG5 F1.8 Aperture Doesn't Auto-Focus

My LG5 has a dual camera: an F1.8 aperture and an F2.4 aperture w/135 degree wide lens. The F1.8 lost ability to focus. I can only focus by moving the camera physically closer/farther away. With AdobeScan, focusing in this manner drastically limits the field of view. To get the whole image puts it out of focus and since I'm mostly scanning receipts, greatly over exposed.

Is there a work-around?
