No longer able to adjust crop / filter

Hi - I made a series of scans last week, and now I am trying to go back to adjust the crop and filter on some of the images within each file. I was able to do this last week easily, even if a few hours or a day had passed since I had created the scan. Yet now when I try to adjust the crop or change the filter, the original image data doesn't seem to be there anymore. I cannot adjust the crop to anything beyond what it was cropped to when I took the scan (as opposed to when I adjusted the crop before, and I could resize it to include what had been cropped out). And if I select the "original" filter, it's no longer the original image, but a new copy with the default filter that was added to the scan already.

 

If it helps to troubleshoot this issue: I haven't opened these scans in another app and modified them; they've just been sitting untouched in the Adobe Scan app since I created them between Wednesday and Friday of last week. Has anyone encountered this issue before, and do they know how to fix it? Is there a time limit on how long the original photographs are saved? I don't have the setting to save JPGs of all my scans, because it didn't seem like I needed that "on" to be able to go and make these small modifications later. Many thanks for your help!

    I have the exact same problem. I scanned a longer document in batches and left the time-consuming editing phase to be tackled later. I'm able to access the original photo data in the Adobe Scan app to modify the filters and borders for all other scans (screenshot 1) except the LAST one (screenshot 2). I scanned all batches with the same device, which I'm also using for modifying the scans, and I haven't opened the files anywhere else. As per usual, Adobe Scan's auto-crop and auto-colour are messed up and hence the last scan is ruined. I don't have easy access to the document in order to re-scan it (different country). What TF is up and how can this be fixed?

    The Adobe Scan app doesn't store files. 

     

    The concept is usually misinterpreted because the interface that the app provides to the user is seamless when it all boils down to saving files to alocal folder in your mobile device, to the Adobe Document Cloud, or the Adobe Creative Cloud.

     

    More important is to recognize how these files are shared among other apps that can be opened and  executed directly from the Adobe Scan app itself too.

     

    If I am not mistaken, this app synchronizes and back up all of your files in the Document Cloud.

     

    This may also be true for all other Adobe apps that collaborate and share assets through the Creative Cloud..

     

    My best guess is to install the  CC app (if you don't have it yet), sign in with your Adobe ID and look for the files there and also go online to the Document Cloud via web browser and sign in with your Adobe ID to see if your original files are still intact there.
