I have scanned a document into my iPad and sent that .pdf file to my desktop computer. When I move that document into a file for storage there is no thumbnail of the document - only a thumbnail with the Adobe Logo and the title of the document. How do I get the thumbnail of the document to be visible?

As you need to enable the thumbnail of the Adobe PDFs, could you please confirm the application you are using to open those files?
If you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, then you can enable the thumbnails using the steps mentioned in this help document Enable thumbnail preview of PDFs in Windows Explorer.
