Is it now, or will it be available to password protect individual documents in the cloud?

Dear Customer,

This is workflow how to add password protect into a document and view it:
1. You can scan a document from Scan App mobile and save to document cloud server
2. You need to install Acrobat in your desktop  , and open the file from document cloud inside the Acrobat

3. You can add password protect from Acrobat in your desktop and save it to document cloud.

4. When you open the file with password protect in Scan App, you can't open it after you add password protect from Acrobat.
5. But when you click "OPEN IN ACROBAT" button on the  the file with password protect from Scan App

6. the file will be opened in Acrobat mobile App, and ask you the open password, then you can view the file in Acrobat mobile app.

So the current stage, you can add password protect into Scan file from Acrobat desktop app and open it in Acrobat mobile app but not in Scan mobile app.  You can't add password protect from Scan App.

Hope this will answer you question.

Thanks for using our Scan App product.

Hi @Godfrey33855145sbo0,

We do not store passwords of file in our servers.

If you have received a protected file, I suggest reaching out to the sender or the creator of the file to either get access to the password or a fresh file without one.

So, I am unable to password protect a document uploaded to document cloud by the Scan app?

Would I need to upload that same document to a different location and use Acrobat to protect it?

Sorry, but your answer was a little vague to a non-technical person.
